LG Don Beyer To Arise From the Political Dead?
(Click on Hussein & Friends)
Apparently no matter what happens, somewhere, somehow a Virginian Democratic Politician is in the mix for the 2008 Presidential Bid?
Hey I lifted this photo off the Observer, are they going to sue me too? This blog costs me $12 a month to publish, not including the labor costs. My thoughts are to send the bill to anyone whom I have linked too and in so doing promoted. The thought here being that I am providing 'click throughs' to said newspaper, and I am not being compensated for doing so.
That is flat out wrong. Bloggers should be compensated for directing any of our readers attention to publications that otherwise our readers might not have visited without their attention being brought to it. I hope Snapped Shot can counter sue the AP.
Hillary Dares to Open Her Mouth on Pardons
Hat Tip to JustHillary.com comes this Newsday article, which cuts to the chase:
It was a brazen statement from a woman entangled in many Clinton White House scandals, including the final one: On his last day in office, President Clinton granted 140 pardons and 36 commutations, many of them controversial.
One of those pardoned was Marc Rich, who had fled the country after being indicted for tax evasion and whose wife had donated more than $1 million to Democratic causes.
Clinton's half brother, Roger, who was convicted of distributing cocaine and lobbied the White House on behalf of others, also received a pardon.
Hillary Clinton's brother, Hugh Rodham, was paid tens of thousands of dollars in his successful bid to win pardons for a businessman under investigation for money laundering and a commutation for a convicted drug trafficker. Her other brother, Tony, lobbied successfully for clemency on behalf of a couple convicted of bank fraud.
It's hard to fathom that those pardons had absolutely nothing to do with cronyism or ideology, but Hillary Clinton defended them. She drew a distinction between her husband's pardons and Bush's commutation.
That article ladies and gentleman is Spanking Donkeys....
Dems: Hypocrites on WMD... Nahhhh
TRD / Slantblog: No Conservative Thoughts Here!
(Give Them Little Birds A Click)
It seems that for the second time The Richmond Democrat deems my comments unfit for publishing, yet again! This seems to be a new trend with Dems who 'Waaaa..foul'. Here is the first example, which highlights his dubious blogging style and highlights how a certain 19 year old, accomplished more in a couple weeks, than some bloggers have achieved in 4 years of blogging.
Anyhow, TRD has this totally bogus rotating GIF up, and here is my comments (submitted three days ago) that amazingly he finds 'unpublishable' at this time:
TRD:
Let me help you with a little concept here in response to your rotating gif..
In the first year of Clinton administration, (something you guys hold up as Holy), We fought a battle in Mogadishu...
During that battle, Les Aspin didn't allow our forces to take in Armor or AC-130 gunships, because that would be too 'confrontational'..
Uh, we sent in Soldiers against a bunch of guys on 'Kot' (a drug, not unlike cocaine) and had them fight it out on the streets...
We won a tactical victory, but of course Your President gave up that battlefield to the enemy, and the oppression and starvation lived on...
The Clinton Administration had another seven (7) years to up armor the hummvees and perfect body armor for our troops....
That didn't happen... George W. Bush has in turn not shrunk from a very similar battle to free peoples, and relieve them of tyrants....
Our advances in armor for vehicles and body armor to meet the same urban warfare environment have been unmistakenly acheived during this administration...
You are putting forward a false argument... Actually, it is quite laughable... Just compare the Vietnam experience of Que City, (last major urban combat) and the equipment and casualty rates in Falujah and Baghdad today...
It's night and day... Your President failed Sir/Maam... Not our Present Commander and Chief...
I am not saying this is the most brilliant observation in the world, but it certainly addresses the subject at hand. The Clinton Administration saw the deployment of humvees, and if improvements in body armor for the troops were anymore apparently needed than in that operation in Somalia, made famous in the movie "Black Hawk Down", when was it? The movie painfully makes clear that humvees needed to be up armored if deployed in urban warfare. Where was the Clinton Administration, over the next seven (7) years?
Why are certain Lefty Blogs so afraid of having of having opposing views left in their comment section? Looks like this weeks blog carnival has more on the outrage of Lefties when they actually 'assault' Pubs.
Gov. Warner Bows out, yet again
Gov. Warner is apparently choosing his battles...
Every Dem. in VA hoped he would take on Senator Allen, rather than have to hold their noses and support Jim "driveby" Webb. He chose not too, because if he lost to Allen, his Presidential or VP options would be toast.
Now it seems, he is bowing out of the run against Hillary for the nomination... Waldo theorizes that "it leaves him in a great position" to be picked as Hillary's VP, because he doesn't have to "mix it up" in the usual name calling that occurs in the primaries... Me Thinks, Waldo is on to something...
(click it, it'll be big in 08')
Deep down, it has to be HillaryWarner vs. CondiAllen 08 that is....
It would be a heck of a race...
