The Surge is Working - Quit Crying Dems..

jihadstupid.jpg This is unfortunate news for the Al Qaeda propagandists operating in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.  Even the NYT is not going to be caught totally flatfooted so they can save some kind of face:

In Ramadi, for example, we talked with an outstanding Marine captain whose company was living in harmony in a complex with a (largely Sunni) Iraqi police company and a (largely Shiite) Iraqi Army unit. He and his men had built an Arab-style living room, where he met with the local Sunni sheiks — all formerly allies of Al Qaeda and other jihadist groups — who were now competing to secure his friendship.

Al Qaeda is being militarily defeated not unlike the complete defeat of the Viet Cong in South Vietnam after the 68' Tet Offensive.  General Patraeous strategy is working and Al Qaeda's only hope is that the DemocRAT party, the MSM and their operatives can break the will of the American people to finish the fight, ala Vietnam.

America doesn't aspire to be losers, well except unless your are a DemocRATic Party activist...

America will not Tolerate Losers... See you at the polls...

USS Enterprise hosts French Naval Jets

rafale.gif This is a rather interesting development related to a previous post involving VP Dick Cheney gathering four carriers off the coast of Iran...   check this out:

The USS nuclear carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65), en route for the Persian Gulf, entered the Mediterranean Sea Monday July 23 for joint maneuvers with the French Charles De Gaulle carrier. Rafale M fighters took off from its deck, touched down briefly on Enterprise runways and returned to the parent ship. This is the first time ever that French fighter-bombers have landed on an American carrier and used its facilities.

DEBKAfile’s Middle East and Washington sources say that the closely integrated maneuver is part of the growing cooperation between the Bush administration and the new Nicolas Sarkozy presidency on burning Middle East issues.

DEBKAfile’s sources have previously pointed to a dramatic opening-up of interchanges between Paris, Tehran and Hizballah. They now affirm that this new track was launched with tacit approval from Washington.

and now to the video.  This Sarkozy guy may just take the embarrassment out of being French...

Mike Stark - You Call Yourself a Marine?

Exactly how do you explain this trash you are shacking up with?

Radiating progressive ideas and Democratic politics

For Danny

This was not there this morning when I went to work.
Just off I-81 exit 235, on Weyers Cave Road on the way to Grottoes:

To whoever is responsible for this sign's placement, Cobalt6 thanks you. t3h kestrel got a wet eye when he saw it, just one little tiny tear.

From Eyes Wide Open in Harrisonburg:

Nineteen years old.

I just hope we don't run out of bridges.

And boots.

There's another sign below the fold.

You call yourself a Marine Mr. Stark.  Your Friends are mocking the death of a fellow Marine/s in defense of this nation... yet you contribute to this blog?  Tell Me, do you get a 'wet eye, a tiny little tear' (obviously mocking) when you see a memorial to fallen comrade, or do you find this humorous also?

How Did I Miss This?

417908-411574-thumbnail.jpg I thought the local Democrats didn't vote for Hanger?  Typically, I ignore Cobalt 6 because they mainly just rant, but after their tirades today against SWAC GIRL I did some looking around and found this post:

Primary Day

Remember that you DO NOT have to be a Republican to vote in this primary!
Polls open till 7.
You know what to do.

Postmortem when appropriate.

WVIR:
24th District Senate-Rep. Primary
100% OF PRECINCTS REPORTING
> Emmett Hanger (R / Inc.) 7,595 53%
  Scott Sayre (R) 6,737 47%

OK, so we don't get it handed to us on a silver platter.
All this means is now, we're going to have to work for it.
Our ideas make more sense, and what we need to do is connect with the people who were put off by this whole thing.
The SWACs just got their ass handed to them.
The Republican operational structure in the area is now discredited and weakened.
SWACgirl, Maxfield, the rest of you GOPeratives:

YOU LOSE.

You have shown that you can't drive your base, that next to no one listens to you, and that your bullshit screaming has fallen on deaf ears.
If I were a Republican in Augusta County, I'd be CLAMORING for new leadership.
Where are you going to go now, Lynn? Where next, Alex? How about it, Kurt?
You just shot yourselves in the head.

These idiots obviously can't get it done.

Lets hope the Augusta county GOPs don't have the time or will to find new leadership who can.

This opens doors for us, brothers and sisters.
Run with it; and let's kick replicant ass.
It can be done.

Marlana,

While awaiting the primary results, I want to thank you and the Waynesboro Democrats for the warm hospitality of last Thursday.  I enjoyed meeting with you, appreciated the discussion and comments, and am grateful for the encouragement.

As I travel around the district, I cannot help but notice the renewed enthusiasm of Democrats.  Whether we prevail or not in the short term--and I obviously hope we do--it is clear that the tide is turning as people are noticing the bankruptcy of Republican ideas and concepts.  The tide is turning blue, and you in Waynesboro are very much a part of it.

See you soon, and again thanks to all,

  David

(a note to Marlana Lewis, Chairman, Waynesboro Democratic Committee, from Rev. David Cox, Democratic candidate for State Senate in the
24th.)

Cobalt congratulations to Sen. Hanger.

It is now a battle of ideas, fair, square, and decent politics.
May the best man win.
See you in November, Emmett.

Interesting.... and so many have claimed the Local Dems all voted for Sayre because he would be the easiest to defeat in November?  Otherwise you would see lament in the posts about how the Dems diabolical scheme failed, and their votes for Sayre went for not....

You see Democrats are liars, and projectionists ... Liars.. and projectionists...

Cobalt 6 is onto Something.. Republican's R Failing The People

417908-424742-thumbnail.jpg Cobalt 6, who maybe the work of  the infamous Mike Stark, is hitting at the 'soft underbelly' of the Republican Party, and the Republican's better start paying attention....

Here is the deal, Rep. Bob Goodelatte holds a Town Hall style meeting, and a bunch of rowdy Dems show up to pepper him with the 'Corporate Greed' and Health Care issues.  One questioner gets into the issue of Health Care executives taking huge bonuses and Goodelatte has to defend the Free Enterprise system..  All well and good, but folks... Let me tell you something:

I am a college educated working class stiff like a whole lot of other people.  I aspire one day to get big fat bonuses through hard work, and supporting the Free Enterprise system itself.. I identify & volunteer my time with the Republican Party...

Another reason I identify with the Pubs is because historically they have been for the little guy, by keeping my taxes low.. You see if you take 15% from $40,000 a year its, $6,000 in taxes, but I am only left with $34,000.  If you take 30% from some one making $100,000 that leaves them with $70,000...   We all know that, and we hope we get to higher income brackets, our efforts to lower them on EVERYBODY, will benefit us...eventually.

The second plank of the Communist Manifesto is a heavy 'graduated tax' that supposedly nails the rich at the top, but most importantly hinders those on the bottom by taxing them, and effectively retarding their ability to accumulate wealth and move to the higher class...  If Commies didn't want to tax the man on the bottom at all they would have credibility.  That said:

But, when the Party that supposedly protects us from higher taxes (Republicans) at the lower end starts raising those taxes, and we still see the excesses of the Free Enterprise system at the top... WE start thinking, SCREW THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE GIVING IT TO US BOTH WAYS!

Here's the deal, We know the Dems are out to grow govt. as large as possible for a couple reasons:

  • It creates more voters to vote for larger govt... ask Sen. Hanger, he sent emails out to all local State Employees to 'remind them' to vote... Plus the VEA & Our local elected's worked our local govt. employees, etc.
  • Larger govt's mean that you need to continually raise taxes, which retards the ability of people to gain wealth.
  • The whole time Democrats create a larger underclass solely dependent on the taxpayers also... You know every time you 'cut taxes', you hurt those at the bottom the worst, the elderly, the children, etc., of course.
  • Then the entitlement programs, Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, etc..

Essentially, We all know the Dems are out to bankrupt the country so the whole system comes crashing down, and they can get their ultimate prize of communism in place... Yes, the closest we came and when the Socialist Party was at its height was after the great depression...

I so look forward to the screaming about the ultimate intentions of the Democrat Party, but tell me, they are not among you who think like that?  Anyhow, back to bashing the Establishment Pubs...

The bottom line is this, people quit supporting the Republican Party when the Republican Party does not support the people...  Wake up you idiots!  The American People love cars... Gov. Jim Gilmore made it easier for us all to own one, rich and poor, and we elected that man and the Republican Party to the Majority in the General Assembly!  In so doing he has forced the General Assembly to fund that Tax cut each and every year!

The problems started with the damn RINO's that wanted to use those tax dollars to fund their road projects and pander to voting government workers in Northern VA particularly, but also state wide...  Rather than constrain government to pay for infrastructure they invested it in government itself....  Our tax revenues have gone through the roof, more than enough to pay for infrastructure for the people... not the growth of government.... It has been squandered on govt. & entitlement programs like Medicaid, period.

Those are the failings of the Republican Party... You are currently at the threshold of defeat, you better get your act together... The working class people aren't willing to support your ideological change and your miscalculations any further...
